This week has been full of emotions for me. Full of sadness and joy. Sadness that women have to experience a baby loss. We were very blessed to have four women come to our first workshop held at Community Bible Church.

My joy was that I was blessed to have the Lebanon Daily News call me and ask if they could write an article on Hope at Hand. I was very surprised and excited to see that the article made the front page. I was so glad that my message came across how God has helped me heal. I have gotten many responses from family and friends. I have even received phone calls from people who had read the article. They were very encouraging. The phone calls I received were from people who have experienced a loss in the last two years to just last November. I asked you to pray for these mothers, fathers and siblings. Also pray for this ministry that women will find comfort in healing through the arts.

March 7th Workshop

Yesterday afternoon we hosted our first Hope at Hand workshop at my church, Community Bible Church. There were 7 of us total. It was a wonderful day of creating art and sharing stories.

Lisa Haldeman of Lovinclaydolls instructed the ladies on making the memorial baby sculpts along with the help of Meghan Winslow, owner of SPLAT Studio. It was a wonderful afternoon as I met a new face and also heard the stories of women whom I know, but didn’t know their experience. I was also blessed as my friend, who supported me so much after my loss of Mia, was there to support me again.

Every baby that was created was unique and different just like our own experiences. But we are able to come together and celebrate. I am excited to know that these women will be taking a memorial home with them to treasure.

Hope at Hand Presentation

I had the first Hope at Hand presentation at my church on Sunday. A friend sang the song, “Held”, by Natalie Grant before I spoke. There was a warm response from our congregation as everyone was encouraging. Many people did not know we experienced a loss.
